Description

Great Britain, Edward III, Gold Noble, 1363-1369, London mint, 7.64 g. (33 mm). Obverse: Crowned king with sword and shield standing facing in ship, with legend 'EDWARD DEI GRA REX ANGL DNS HYB Z AQT'. Reverse: Floriate cross with E in central quadrilobe, with Latin inscription around.
Good VF, or better, well struck with crisp detail on the large flan. Struck from rusty obverse dies which leads to the fields being a little 'pock-marked'.
