Gupta Empire, Chandragupta II, c. 380-413, AV dinar, 7.74 g. (19 mm). Obverse: Horseman type: king without a bow riding horse right, without halo and carrying no bow, circular Brahmi legend around. Reverse: Lakshmi with halo, seated left on wicker stool, holding long diadem and prominent, long-stemmed lotus, legend at right, ajitavikrama, no tamgha, dotted border around. Kumar, TOTGE 2024, Class II.
VF, what looks like a scratch on obverse lower right is raised metal; on reverse are a few very small additions of gold (rectangular in shape) that could possibly indicate some attempt to mount the coin in jewellery.
